We Do Different
Think about your most recent experience with an agency and ask yourself whether you think it was worth the money. They used pretty presentations, fancy words and gave you fizzy Italian water at your meetings, but was the actual work that great?
The truth is, it's really expensive to run an agency the old fashioned way. Rent, staff, insurance, software, hardware... It all adds up. And it all gets passed on to you. Which is why they give you the bubbly water to distract you. On the other hand, brands use an agency for a reason - they want expert advice, they want to keep their headcount down, and they want someone to blame if it all goes belly up (jokes).
The reason we have been able to attract such an amazing roster of clients in such a short time is because we do things a little differently. We bring years of expertise working for the best brands on the planet for flexible, affordable prices. How? We got rid of the overhead. We work from home (or your office, if that's what you want), we run a lean team and we stay flexible.
Some of our clients pay us by the hour, some by the project, and some keep us on retainer. Sometimes we help craft a social media or content strategy and then handover to your internal teams, sometimes we stay on to run it from month to month, and sometimes it's halfway: we'll work with your staff or another agency to manage a part of the process. And sometimes we'll come in to run a really fun, funky short term campaign that sits alongside your everyday activity.
Our Own Story
Wigwam was founded by marketer Robert O’Reilly in January of 2017, when he recognised the need for a storytelling-led content/social agency that cuts through the red tape and buzzwords.
His career began with several years at the helm of content marketing for one of Australia’s largest and oldest wine groups, McWilliam’s, after which he went on to lead the digital needs for the country’s largest and fastest growing menswear brand, M.J. Bale. In this role - in the period that saw the brand grow from 11 stores to more than 50 - he helped craft the brand’s content, social and digital presence. This included leading the ‘Unsuitable Journey’ social media campaign, seen by millions around the world and awarded 2 Lions at the Cannes Advertising Awards, as well as being one of only 9 brands in the world to be bestowed a Gold Global Facebook Award in 2016.
The wide scope of Robert’s creative storytelling applications and his track record of results-based, narrative driven strategy has attracted an enviable roster of loved brands.
